Quarterly Roundup, March 2020

The first quarter of 2020 has been one of steadiness in the storm of unexpected change. We entered the year with courses offered online and in our Teaching Churches with a similar enrollment to the last term. Our end-of-year giving was below expectations, but we remain healthy financially with our reserves and are exercising diligence to keep expenses low.

We continue to expand our reach and serve more and more church leaders domestically and globally. Join me in rejoicing in what God is doing among and through the Carroll Family and in praying for God’s continued favor and provision for our mission to equip church leaders where they live and serve.

The COVID-19 virus has disrupted travel, commerce, public gatherings, and education, but Carroll has been able to deliver accredited theological education to our students through our online platforms without interruption. The vision of our founders for a distributed education model has served our students and faculty well. We will comply with local, state and federal officials regarding travel and gatherings, and we will continue to deliver our courses uninterrupted through this season of uncertainty. We will keep you notified as to attending our Spring Colloquy and/or Convocation in May.

I continue to pray for us as the Psalmist prayed: “May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands.” (Ps. 90:17)
