North Texas Giving Day 2015 Was a Success!

Thank you for your part in making Carroll Institute’s second North Texas Giving Day an even greater success than the year before! A total of $33.1 million dollars was raised through 118,667 gifts benefiting 2,022 nonprofits. Out of those 2,000 nonprofits, Carroll Institute ranked #44 in the amount of donations raised, and #18 out of over 100 schools that participated in the day. You donated $124,375 toward our mission to equip men and women called to serve Christ in the diverse and global ministries of his church. If you missed the day and want to give, you can donate on our website.

Thank You

Your gifts not only serve the ongoing needs of our mission, but they touch the lives of our students here and around the world. Here are two testimonies from students who describe how your prayers and gifts have helped them.

Theological education must include the transfer of knowledge, but also the influence and connections of life. In my participation in the Carroll program, I have distinctly experienced that each professor who has come to teach has brought their (sic) own special qualities of life to us. These special qualities have been molded by Jesus Christ and have affected us, whether it be humility, joy, wisdom, character, or the careful and precise love and study of the word of God, or bearing the burdens of the church. For all of these, I thank our Lord.

Through this course (Spiritual Foundation), the stirring of my courage has been renewed. I have always been a person who starts well and finishes poorly–an ambitious beginning, but ending in defeat without fighting.

These and other testimonies can be found in the blog Senior Fellows visit Teaching Churches in Vietnam and China. Your prayers and gifts make a difference in the lives of our faculty and students.

We are a blessed people, and through those blessings we can serve others. Paul wrote to the Corinthian Christians, “For I do not mean that others should be eased and you burdened, but that as a matter of fairness your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness. As it is written, “Whoever gathered much had nothing left over, and whoever gathered little had no lack.” (2 Cor. 8:13-15)

May the grace of God continue to grow in your hearts as you serve and give for his glory and mission.

Serving with you,
