by Dr. Wade Berry, Resident Fellow
Adolescents and emerging adults are constantly challenging the church to go deeper in its faith and to come up with better answers to the questions raised by contemporary culture. Thanks to the efforts of the John P. Newport Foundation and the B. H. Carroll Theological Institute, church leaders were provided with information and tools that they can immediately put to work in defense of the gospel. Respected voices in philosophy, theology, and church history encouraged participants to imitate the example of Dr. Newport by engaging in a substantive manner with the questions raised by those who do not know Christ and by constructing a worldview that is both grounded in Scripture and conversant with other bodies of knowledge. And this encouragement was offered in an environment of warmth and mutual respect.
