The 2013 Convocation and Graduation ceremony of B. H. Carroll Theological Institute was held May 21, 7:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas. It was an exciting and inspiring evening as 17 graduates received their degrees. In addition, four students in Hispanic Theological Education were awarded Certificates in Advanced Ministry Training. Dr. Adlin Cotto, Resident Fellow and Professor of Human Growth and Development, is the coordinator of the Carroll Hispanic theological studies program.
Dr. Bruce Corley delivered the graduation address as President of the Institute. His message was entitled “Other Places with Jesus” based on the text Mark 1:35-39. Links to the complete Convocation video and a transcript of his message are provided on the left.

The Singing Men of North Central Texas, whose music has been heard around the world, served as the choir for Carroll Institute’s Convocation. The group presented four musical selections that inspired and encouraged all in attendance.
Dr. Bob Campbell was this year’s recipient of the President’s Award. Dr. Campbell is a Distinguished Fellow and Professor of New Testament and Greek at B. H. Carroll Theological Institute. He holds the Th.D. in New Testament with a minor in Old Testament and Archeology and B.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a past president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas and former pastor of Westbury Baptist Church. Dr. Campbell has been a strong supporter of the Institute and has motivated countless students in their theological preparation.
Five students (one in absentia) in the doctoral program received their Doctor of Philosophy degrees during the hooding ceremony:

A reception followed in the Wade Building to honor the graduates and their families.
