The B. H. Carroll Theological Seminary President’s Award was established to recognize the valuable contributions of partners who support our mission with their time, talent, and treasures, and to encourage others to follow their example. The award is a way to thank and honor significant leaders who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire and encourage all of us in service to the Lord. Recognizing and honoring these partners sets a standard for service, encourages a sustained commitment to our mission, and inspires others to make Carroll a key initiative in their lives.
The 2024 recipient of the President’s Award is Dr. David Strawn. Dr. Strawn has taught for B. H. Carroll since 2004 and was named a Distinguished Fellow in 2016. At Carroll, he teaches master’s-level Christian education and administration classes and supervises Doctor of Ministry students. He also serves on Carroll’s Board of Governors. He writes for a variety of Christian educational journals and publications, including curriculum materials for adults.
“Dr. David Strawn received the President’s Award because of his tireless efforts to recruit students, churches, and supporters to B. H. Carroll. He has recruited students to both our master’s and doctoral programs, and he has enlisted churches to support Carroll. He has been with us from our beginnings as a Resident Fellow and Teaching Church host. I wish we had ten David Strawns!”—Dr. Gene Wilkes.
