Shelley Guess is a licensed professional counselor who daily serves her community through Hope Connects Counseling, a clinic she founded and operates. She’s finishing up her PhD at B. H. Carroll, but she’s also a donor. When her father passed away, she and her family provided a gift in his honor to help other students working their way through seminary. Guess said the gift is her way of honoring the man who pushed her toward excellence and who helped her see her unlimited potential for service in God’s kingdom.

Most of our students, like Shelley, are already contributing to the global and diverse ministries of Christ’s church. They are pastors, missionaries, and education and music ministers. They carry the weight of ministry to others on their shoulders. They also have families and financial obligations.  Providing for their education through scholarships is one way we can ease their burden. No gift is too small.
