IRVING, Texas (March 28, 2022)—B.H. Carroll Theological Institute will offer a special six-hour continuing education course for supervisors of licensed professional counselors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22.
Lunch will be provided for those attending in person, but participants may also join the course online. The cost is $199 for six CEUs.
Featuring sessions on the ethics of supervision, multicultural supervision, and Christ-centered professionalism, the refresher is open to all counselors who are offering supervision to those seeking full licensure as professional counselors.
Shannon Wolf, associate director of counseling programs at B.H. Carroll, said the course satisfies the State of Texas’ LPC supervisor continuing education requirements. It also provides three hours of Texas ethics.
“We envision Carroll as a ‘go to’ for continuing education,” Wolf said. “We had a tremendous turnout among licensed professional counselors for our most recent CEU session on suicide and self-harm. Now, we are focusing on providing for those who supervise counselors completing the 3,000 hours they need for full licensure.”
In the course, Dr. Scott Floyd (LPC-S, LMFT) will speak on the ethics of supervision. Floyd is director of counseling programs at Carroll. He will be joined by Dr. Zoricelis Davila (LPC-S), bilingual counselor and assistant professor of counseling at Liberty University, who will speak on “Intentional Multicultural Supervision.” Wolf (LPC-S) will provide a session titled “Developing Christ-Centered Professional in LPC Associates.”
In-person registration for the refresher course closes April 14. Registration for online attendance is open until the day of the course. Those who wish to register can do so here. For more information, contact Dr. Shannon Wolf at swolf@bhcarroll.edu. #bhcarroll #LPC-S
