B. H. Carroll Theological Institute in Irving is encouraging its employees and supporters to consider how they can assist the non-profit educational institutions, charities, and service organizations across the North Texas region through North Texas Giving Tuesday on May 5.
The Communities Foundation of Texas, United Way, and the Dallas Cowboys are leading the collaborative emergency giving campaign, prompted by the economic downturn resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is, according to B. H. Carroll President Gene Wilkes, the 3,000 nonprofits in the region who are being tasked to do more with a dwindling pool of financial resources.
“Our employees have been asked to provide recommendations of like-minded organizations we can come alongside of and promote via our social media platforms,” Wilkes said. “The more the community comes together in praying, giving, and serving, the more we believe we will all benefit from it.”
B. H. Carroll is among the 3,000 nonprofits who benefit annually from North Texas Giving Day, which occurs in September.
