B. H. Carroll’s Counseling Program is pleased to spotlight the addition of its newest professor and administrative staff member, Dr. Shannon Wolf. Dr. Wolf is Professor of Psychology and Counseling and Associate Director of Counseling Programs at Carroll. Dr. Wolf comes to Carroll after nine years of teaching in the master’s-level counseling program at Dallas Baptist University. Dr. Wolf is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor, and has served as the staff counselor at Southcliff Baptist Church for the past 14 years. Focusing in marriage, family, and trauma counseling, Dr. Wolf has been especially impactful in the area of counseling and consulting related to sex trafficking. Dr. Wolf frequently serves as an expert witness in trials of sex offenders being tried on trafficking charges and regularly does presentations on sex trafficking at national conferences. In other professional circles, Dr. Wolf is Executive Director of the Society for Christian Psychology, where she is also Assistant Editor of Christian Psychology: A Transdisciplinary Journal, and she is a Track Coordinator for the American Association of Christian Counseling world and regional conferences. Dr. Wolf is married to Peter, who is pastor of Retta Baptist Church located outside of Burleson, Texas. The Wolfs served as missionaries in Eastern Europe for several years before returning to Ft. Worth where Dr. Wolf earned her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. B. H. Carroll is delighted to introduce Dr. Wolf and to have her as part of its faculty family.
