Two Ways to Support Our Shared Mission

We are in the first months of our Training Leaders – Transforming Lives Campaign. Our financial goal of $12,000,000 is made up of $9,000,000 for people and projects to further our mission and $3,000,000 in planned or estate giving. To date, we have received in pledges and gifts $3,046,955 toward our total goal. I am grateful to those who have already pledged and given to the 3-year campaign.

The core of the campaign is designed to find support for four key areas of our mission:

  • Academics to ensure our quality instruction continues by endowing four faculty chairs in honor of our founding Senior Fellows
  • Technology to build our instructional platform and global digital library
  • Curriculum to maintain our biblically-based, accredited degrees at the highest levels
  • Scholarships to provide resources and materials for our under-resourced students who live and serve in a different context, and to keep Carroll degrees affordable

Planned and estate gifts help build our endowment and provide a way to leave a legacy for your family. We will connect you to a trained estate planner if you would like to know more about how to give in this manner.

The next steps of the campaign include informational meetings hosted by friends like you. Friends of Carroll hosted two informational meetings in July, and the response was positive and encouraging. If you would like to host an

informational meeting in your area, please contact us at info@bhcarroll.edu and we will work with you to plan and host the gathering.

I am confident this campaign will not only bring the resources needed to continue our mission to equip missional leaders, but it will be the platform upon which we can build our network of partners to complete the Great Commission that God has called Carroll to fulfill. Please consider a pledge or gift today.

B. H. Carroll could not exist without the support of local churches. We receive no funding from any denomination or mission agency. We exist to serve those who serve the local church, and we thrive on the partnerships we have with our supporting churches. Along with our capital campaign, we have begun to expand our network of supporting churches.

We are asking churches to make Carroll part of their training program and mission budgets in order to support the unique Carroll Model, which is returning theological education back to the local church. In return for a church’s support, we will provide a 12-week class in the fall and spring which will be livestreamed on Wednesday evenings and taught by one of our professors. We call it, the Titus 2:1 project. This class is for those with whom the church leadership desires to share it and will be archived for future use by the church.

I will teach the first 12-week class, Leadership Lessons from the Life of Paul, beginning Wednesday, August 30. To become a supporting church and to register your church for the class, go to the Titus 2:1 site.

My prayer for Carroll Institute over the summer has been Psalm 90:17. It reads:

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and establish the work of our hands upon us;
yes, establish the work of our hands!
(ESV)

Join me in this prayer of humble petition for God to show us his favor and to make permanent the work we do for him. I trust God to answer the prayers of his people, and I stand with you in that trust.

Serving Him With You,
