Carroll Institute has recently welcomed three new members to its administrative faculty and staff.
Dr. Shannon Wolf
Dr. Wolf was brought on as an Associate Director of Counseling Programs. Dr. Wolf is a Licensed Professional Counselor with supervisory status in Texas as well as a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor. She has served as the director of Southcliff Christian Counseling Center since 2003. Shannon has earned a PhD in Psychology and Counseling at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a doctoral minor in Foundations of Education. She has a Masters of Marriage and Family Counseling degree, also from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Shannon works with a wide range of client concerns including various types of trauma, depression, anxiety, marriage and family concerns, among other issues. She adjusts her counseling techniques to fit the unique needs of her clients. Shannon’s approach to helping people is Christ-centered and biblically-based. She continues to research issues concerning trauma and recovery and is currently focusing on child sex trafficking issues.
Shannon and her family are active members of their local church family. They also served as international missionaries in Eastern Europe. Her love for cultures is reflected in her humanitarian work both nationally and abroad.
Shane Bender
Shane joined Carroll’s staff in September as Bursar and Director of Business Affairs. Shane graduated with a BBA and MBA from Baylor University. His experience as an Auditor, Controller, Director of Financial Planning & Analysis, and VP of Finance in small, medium, and large businesses has given him extensive knowledge in accounting and finance. In January 2016, Shane started a fractional CFO business focusing on organizations with revenues or operating budgets in the $1 million to $10 million range. He shares his expertise with small to medium-sized organizations by providing them with key information, creating scalable processes, and implementing solutions that will help them grow to the next level. Michelle Martin
When you walk through the main entrance at the Carroll Center, you will see a new person sitting at the reception desk. Michelle is a Carroll student currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Counseling degree program. Michelle serves as receptionist and office assistant while pursuing her degree at Carroll. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington where she earned a BA degree in Communications. Originally from Ohio, she moved to Fort Worth, Texas with her family in 1984. Michelle has a background in marketing and small business. She has worked for the University of Texas at Arlington and has owned multiple small businesses. Michelle lives in Arlington, Texas with her husband Mike and their two teenagers. She considers herself a “real food” addict and enjoys teaching family and friends the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. She plans to graduate in Spring 2019.
