In June, Dr. Scott Floyd, B.H. Carroll’s Director of Counseling Programs, had the opportunity to travel to St. Petersburg, Russia, to teach at the St. Petersburg Evangelical Theological Academy, one of B.H. Carroll’s international partners. Dr. Floyd taught two intensive courses, Premarital and Marriage Counseling and Crisis/Trauma Counseling, to 13 Russian students who were training for various ministry positions within evangelical churches in Russia and neighboring countries. Three times each year, B.H. Carroll supplies professors who teach at the St. Petersburg Academy, helping the Russian students obtain M.A. degrees through this collaborative teaching effort that allows Russian theology students to receive an accredited degree. According to Dr. Floyd, It was a very fulfilling experience to work with these men and women as they train for ministry. I believe that it is partnerships, such as the one with the St. Petersburg Evangelical Theological Academy, that represents B.H. Carroll’s mission of global reach and impact.
