Results from North Texas Giving Day

Dear Friends of Carroll,

Thank you for your part in making Carroll Institute’s first North Texas Giving Day a great success! Representatives from Carroll attended the three rallies on September 18th in Arlington, Fort Worth, and Dallas. There was a great spirit among the rally participants who represented over 1,580 non-profits. There were 98,062 donations from all 50 states and 24 countries totaling more than $26.3 million.

The total online giving for Carroll Institute was $5,265 from 22 donors (four of them new), plus another $82,000 was received from five donors who sent checks. Another exciting aspect of this giving event is that Communities Foundation of Texas awards bonus funds to non-profits that have received online gifts of at least $25 and up to $50,000. Bonus funds are awarded on a pro-rated basis and are calculated before any credit card fees are charged. That means that the additional bonus funds applied to each eligible non-profit will depend upon the total bonus pool and the total of online donations. We will be receiving a check with our bonus funds by the end of October.

With such a good beginning, Carroll Institute is already looking forward to North Texas Giving Day next year. With Carroll’s focus on equipping missional leaders where they live and serve, we depend on our ministry partners for support so that we can use more of our resources to invest in academic excellence, vocational competence, and accountability for the learning outcomes of our students.

Again, we appreciate your generous gifts and prayer support. We ask that you continue to prayerfully consider how you can be involved in Carroll’s mission to provide excellent yet affordable, accessible, and achievable theological education for our students who minister here and around the world.

Serving with you,

Gene Wilkes
